Not always. Morrowind was for PC to start. Oblivion I am pretty sure released on the same date for Windows and the Xbox and didnt come out for the PS3 right away. Skyrim I am not sure about the release times though.

e: just did a quick check and skyrim was released on the same day for all platforms.

PC was still dominating the expansive RPG market at the time of Morrowind, it was a few months before it was released on console iirc.

almost guaranteed, sir. PC launch has historically been a bit later but you get the Nexus and DLCs before the consoles (lolps3)

i think that will change tho. PC and Bethesda have an interesting relationship now and I think the additional focus will result in PC version being simultaneously released with new gen consoles

/e gangbang is right. simultaneous release. expect more of the same.

i prefer the vanilla gameplay on console and then PC mods once the community gets a chance to mess with it a bit
