You're still ignoring the point. The cap hit before this extension for 2017 was $5.75M for Edelman and $11.55M... a little more than double lmao

It's only more for this year now because the Patriots also re-negotiated this season so it's higher now and less later in the contract to re-sign guys later.

So in fact 2018 will be even worse! $5,166,666 cap hit for Edelman and $12,550,000 cap hit for Nelson.
