For sure. We need a strong rb to burst through the gaps and it's not payne.

Overall good game, I knew Eli would shred our secondary apart. Some poor play calling from us in second half, other than that we did okay.

Norman did great getting into objs head, but he let it backfire when he got upset about calls not coming his way.

Payne was not awful, had a few decent runs when he found the gaps. But I dont think he's the rb that will replace jstew.

can't find a vid of where cam tried to give him the ball and he just dropped it, but no, he is definetely NOT a viable replacement for jstew

I know what play you're talking about, it might have been miscommunication, or jitters, it seems like cam was supposed to pull it back out or maybe he was supposed to hand it off and changed his mind, but if you look at the play closely payne ran like he was supposed to, but cam hadn't removed the ball completely from his body so his ribs caused the fumble.

Not sure who to chalk the error up to there, but i dont think that 1 play is reason enough to say hes not material. i would say the fact that i didnt see him break any tackles for large gains would be the reason he isnt going to replace jstew.
