as for the doug free situation.... i don't think we have been given all the details of his health

I think he has been playing hurt. probably a lower back injury or something. guy was miserable.
Or Bill Callahan was talking to him and he is rigging things like he did for the Raiders

Really though... Talk to free... get him to restructure AND bring in someone to compete with him
we restructure and then just cut him if we don't like the way things are going

There are only like 3-4 players on this team that deserve the big contracts, in this order, imo

Ware
Witten
Romo (by rights, he is a QB)
Dez (after 2013 season, hopefully he keeps it up)
Spencer
Carr
Then we can pay Sean Lee

restructure Barry Church... idk wtf we were thinking signing him during an injured year... i think it's 4y/20mil

what do you think about a veteran FA RB?

Reggie bush, Michael Turner, Stephen Jackson

Jackson would bring instant credibility to our running attack

If we're able to convince some of our guys to restructure their contracts, I'd rather use the cap space to shore up a weaker position like OL or WR if miles leaves.

As nice as it would be to have someone as elusive as reggie, I don't see us signing another starting rb with Murray still in the mix. We are probably going to need a #2 if miles leaves, but as I've said before, if we can't afford Wallace or Bowe, I'd rather give Harris an opportunity to catch a few more passes...that way we can use any savings from restructuring contracts to build our OL or DL.

we'll probably just draft somebody to spell murray.

w/e cap space we can make should go exactly where you suggest - because that shit was pretty atrocious last year. :(

Also I expect Steven Jackson, who has considered retirement, to end up in Dallas this off-season. He's 29 and can still produce a few more big years.

my gosh dont let this happen they dont need a running back at all

I was reading the site and it looks like Crawford stands a good chance at starting opposite of Dware even if Spencer gets resigned.
