I’m not disagreeing with you. I think bills will be in contention for the worst team in the league this year. I think streaming defenses against them will be an excellent move every week and I think they’ll be struggling mightily on the offensive side.


Having said all of that; I think Allen is the real deal at QB, and they’re ready to start him now rather than later, and are prepared to let him work out the kinks as a rookie.

I think quite the opposite. I think Allen will force feed his mediocre big tall reciever targets he doesn’t deserve. Something Cam refused to do in 2017

It's going to be pretty close to that. Bad team with not much around him. The plus side is that Allen has McCoy, so he has a solid running game to fall back on. Bortles was all but playing with an expansion level roster that season and had nothing to fall back on. The Bills have a better roster than the Jags had in 2014.

Bortles had 55 sacks that season and he played in 13.5 games. Henne took 16 sacks in those first 2.5... 3 sacks against the Eagles, 10 against the Redskins and 3 against the Colts in the 1st half before we benched him and Bortles took over. We'll see if Allen can nut up and fight through it like Bortles had to.

I could see Allen getting sacked 55 times.
