My HS played some generic little tune that was all of three seconds long and they'd just repeat that over and over until the moment had passed. I definitely didn't get the real HS band experience at my HS—none of that Friday Night Lights vibe or w/e

I'm probably being disingenuous to say it's only 3 seconds, but it does seem like the refrain went on forever and was way too short.

My school wasn't a good sports school. The DC/MD/VA (DMV) area is a hotbed for athletic talent, but my school wasn't one of them lol. Athletic program was pretty young too, maybe 20 yrs old at the time. (Was a special needs school)
