I think what they are saying is that yes, Keenum sucked. But so does Kirk and you could have gotten the same production from someone for alot less money

Except Kirk isn't as bad as Keenum, Kirk is probably right in that league average top 15-20 spot and he isn't as expensive as everyone is led to believe. His 2022 salary inflates his contract a ton. Keenum isn't a starting caliber QB.

We could get out of his contract but it will have to be this offseason which sadly I doubt the Vikes will end up doing. Guess we will have to wait and see

Keenum took the Vikings further in the playoffs then Kirk has or will. And he was making next to no money. Those are just facts,

Keenum didn’t suck though. He played well as a game manager and won the nfc north and almost made the SB that season. He’s been decent as a bridge QB since, on some really shit teams with bad skills players. Bottom line is Vikings took a gamble and it didn’t pay off.

Keenum didn't get the vikings to the NFC championship, a historic defense did.

Yes the kirk was a risk that didn't pay off but would rather have tried to take that chance than not. Hindsight is great and all, would rather have the Owners/ GM take risk than not. Not always going to work out though
