Had some time to sober up, clear my head and think about this game
Tyrod I think should get one more chance. He didn’t play well vs New Orleans by any means. But the loss can’t be directly pinned on him, although he does limit this offense severely.
Defense is legit. Top 10, possibly even top 5. Choked a bit down the stretch but they held NOLA to 3 for 3 quarters, it’s not their fault the offense couldn’t capitalie.
I felt really bad for Gonzalez for about an hour or so, then I remembered that he was making like 800k while I make 40k, and if I did my job that poorly I would be fired immediately, so yea he’s got to go. I’m sure he’ll be cut in the morning.
An interesting side note, last preseason there was a contest between Cody Parkey and Zane, and browns held onto Zane, even though Cody outperformed him. That’s pretty much a testament to how much the previous front office valued saving money over bringing in impact performers, I don’t expect the same under Dorsey.
Not worried, very happy with how this season has started out. I still the the browns can make a playoff push in a week AFC once they figure everything out, a statement win against New York on Thursday will go a long way.
