And you need to take off your tinfoil hat if you actually think there's a large conspiracy going on to manipulate games. Owners, players, and everyone involved is going to try and sway the game as much in their favor as they possibly can. I'm sure refs can and have been bought, but to think that there's a large scale rigging scandal happening and that it hasn't been exposed, is next level stupidity.

Edit : I just can't even imagine how dense, or naive you'd have to put to think that a scandal of that magnitude could be happening without any official source ever coming forward to out it.... You know, people who have been bounced out of the league, people fired in disgrace, people rotting away in jail, people who go fucking bankrupt and ruin their lives, ex-officials who are broke or down on their luck, ex-coaches in similar situations, or even jaded fucking owners lol. Not a single person who's actually involved in the league at a high level has said that something like this is happening, but it's somehow happening, but no one ever has talked.... Yepppppp, seems plausible alright.

One of the theories that I've heard, that actually seems practical to me, is that BB has people on his staff who do nothing but analyze when/what refs penalize for, and he tells his guys specifically when they can play more aggressively, or when they should play softer, since statistically they're less or more inclined to throw the flag during x periods of time. Would also help them in drawing flags if they could utilize this in properly baiting the other team to attack aggressively in high flag scenarios. Hard to know all the fuckery that's going on in NE, but there's no grand scale collusion. Ya, NE has gotten favorable calls and certainly some of them have been incredibly questionable but to think there's fixing going on at the highest lvl is just :bonk:

lol. there were only really 2 games (regular and post season) that the refs made crucial/potential game changing errors that favored the patriots; one was the late regular season matchup vs the Bills, the Kelvin Benjamin TD should not have been overturned (which this bad call didn't even matter in hindsight because both the Bills and the Patriots made the playoffs), the other being the Jaguars game, the ref(s) should've probably never blown the whistle on the Myles Jack fumble recovery. Not the patriots fault the refs did a lousy job lol.

Anyone who cries about the ASJ fumble out of the endzone or the Jesse James incomplete catch is an idiot and should read the rules (like 'em or not).
