But why is he letting what the fans think of him influence his play? Thats a huge no-no.
I mean look at Romo. He is the most crucified player in the NFL. You think he lets that affect him?
I mean... I played college soccer and I would get in my own head about a bad game and it would affect my play based on how others treated me about it. If the fans of my team would say something based on my play, it gets in your head.
I agree that he should be able to deal with it but I've never understood why fans literally tear their players apart, acting like they care more than the actual players.
And it's very obvious that Romo is affected by it. He wouldn't be injured as much if he didn't let it affect him.

It's the kind of business he's in.
It's business, when you become a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE you're opening yourself up to be judged by everyone. Those "virgins" are the fans who pay the bills. You do realize those fans are what make those salaries possible right?
If you can't handle being criticized as an NFL player then you shouldn't be playing. Especially in Philly, New York, etc. where the media and fanbase will eat you a live.
Let's be honest, every business the worker is judged based on their performance. There's a difference between being judged and being crucified though.
The point I'm trying to make is that you can be disappointed in his performance, but you shouldn't want to do things that are more than likely going to make it even worse. Especially when you know that the team is willing to bend a little more with him since it's his first season and he was their first pick.
