Didn't you yell at me in an earlier mock saying that pass rush isn't a pressing need? Now of course that was earlier in the season so things obviously could always change but regardless I do agree with you but I usually always just mostly go off of what you guys tell me for needs so that may change this week's mock. :D

I may vaguely remember saying this, although that was back when I was living in the moment and I wasn't thinking about McPhee leaving via FA (this was his break-out season, so it wasn't like he was a big name at the time, didn't look like he was going to be a big-contract candidate).

Anyway, Ozzie loves to draft defense and ignore offense, so I would not be at all surprised to see him go defense in the first 3 rounds and then pick up some worthless WR late.

There are a lot of good rush-LBs in this class. Kikhaha would be a perfect fit for what we ask our outside LBs to do. Orchard would be a jack of all trades like McPhee. Eli Harold could re-join his Hoos teammate, DE Brent Urban. Those are who I look at, and all of them are in play for the 2nd round.

You should be hoping for Williams to fall, then get a WR later on. There's too much WR talent this draft to warrant a top 10 selection on one.

TBH, as long as the Raiders pick up 1 RB in FA/Draft and don't make any MASSIVE busts, even if we don't get amazing talent I'd be pretty pleased. Our WR core will be stronger next season with Streater returning from injury. Carr will likely have a down season, sophomore slump etc. But our LBs are only going to get better, our young DBs will hopefully improve, and our OL was solid last season. That's a great recipe for success long term IMO. Get a rushing game so Carr can have some help out there on offense and we might just have ourselves a decent team and a decent season, now that we aren't playing the NFC West.

We have a lot of age at DL, so I like the Williams pick, but there are a lot of directions we can go without finding fault. I'd be pumped if we found Gurley in the 2nd, but I'd imagine one of the teams will take him later in the first (someone mentioned Cowboys and Seahawks, both valid places for him to fall as well as others).

I think our needs are DB, RB, and DL (probably in that order), but I think RB should be our top priority this draft, unless some really astonishing ones are expected next year.
