I'll never understand how a strong safety who is weak in coverage can be projected so high. Even if he is great at what he does, strong safeties are a dime a dozen. These days teams want combo-safeties who can play the line and cover TEs and/or RBs. Collins lacks the coverage abilities to cover anyone dependably.

Doubt we go with an OT. Derek Newton improved a LOT this season. Duane Brown isn't going anywhere. Probably will be a WR or DB(We could use a FS or get a future replacement for JoJo). Don't think we'll get a RB that early either.

I've actually mocked Peters/Kikaha to us myself, just in rounds 1/2 instead of 2/3. Don't think Peters will drop to the 50s, best man corner in this draft. Could see Kikaha's knees drop him though, and drafting both makes sense much like the Minter/Mathieu combo, take a former teammate with great character to go with the one kicked off the team. Just hopefully if it happens we don't end up with another Minter...

As much as I hate our ILBs I just wouldn't take one in the first round. I'm all for giving D-Wash one more chance, even if he only plays the 2nd half of the season(suspension). I think Deone still gets snaps there with our S depth. I have hope for Carson in a 2-down MIKE/TED role, think Demens could actually do it too, better than Minter at least.. Don't think Perriman/McKinney/Kendricks are special enough to go that high.
