oh yes pls

That kid tore it up vs Baylor & played /w intensity before he got injured, I like him too. Pretty consistent option in their passing game too /w ~9 rec per game this year

Enjoy it now, the fool isn't going to allow me to mock him before any other TE if he keeps playing the way he has been lol.

If my Packers have their highest draft pick in a long, long ass time and use it on a freaking TE- great though he may be- I will absolutely flip my shit.

All of those Packer picks are barftastic, tbh.

3. Houston (2-8) – Jadeveon Clowney, DE/OLB, South Carolina

That's where I'm leaning also. I think we can cause some havoc defensively for the next ten years (into the next decade) if we move to a 4-3 defense and have J.J. Watt at left end and Jadeveon Clowney at right end. We can plug in a couple of decent defensive tackles fairly quickly with Earl Mitchell already on board and a free agent pickup or draftee. I'm not sure if I want Antonio "The Ninja" Smith back. He's getting paid too much money for his lack of production at right end in a 3-4 defense.

When you have two beasts on the edge in a 4-3 defense that can command a constant double team that will make it hard for any offensive line to stop you. I also feel we will have adequate 4-3 linebackers if Brian Cushing comes back healthy in 2014. Have him at middle linebacker with Brooks Reed and Whitney Mercilus at outside linebackers. We have a promising rookie safety in D.J. Swearinger. We need to draft a cornerback in round two, three or four. We'll take a quarterback and right tackle as well. I don't care in which order but we have to take them in the early rounds. In the late rounds (5, 6 and 7) we can pick up a defensive tackle, running back and kicker.

The Houston Texans have to replenish their defensive talent. When they lost two pro bowlers like Mario Williams and DeMeco Ryans, to some degree Connor Barwin, they never really replaced them with guys who were equally as good. All we have is J.J. Watt who is an All Pro worthy player. And of course Brian Cushing but he's had season-ending injuries two straight years.

A guy like Jadeveon Clowney can come in and have an immediate impact. Him and J.J. Watt could dominate the league for a long time. I kind of hope we lose these last six games and finish 2-14. That will guarantee us at worse, the third overall pick, and likely the first overall pick if Tampa Bay and Minnesota win one of their final six games

Replacing a mediocre QB with another mediocre QB, Zach Mettenberger.... wtf lol

Honestly would rather have Bama QB or Murray over him.

Idk why mock drafters keep mocking a DE/OLB to the Ravens. Unless they cut ties /w Suggs due to his large contract (I think they'll restructure) I don't see the need.

Suggs
Dumervil
Upshaw
Pernell McPhee
John Simon as a situational pass rusher.

Upshaw may not be the edge-setting run-stuffer we thought he'd be, but he's good enough. Too many other needs to go for a luxury pick.

--------------------------------

My biggest needs in order of importance:
  • LT: *only if Monroe leaves through free agency. He's been above average in pass protection, average in run blocking
  • C: Gradkowski & Shipley are totally undersized. PFF had Gradkowski as the worst C in the league
  • RT: Oher is, at best, a good backup and an impending FA
  • WR: Jacoby is a FA, Doss sucks, Deonte Thompson got screwed by injuries, Marlon Brown may be a solid #3 WR/endzone target
  • CB: Jimmy Smith may be finally stepping up, but too early to tell. Corey Graham sucks and is a FA, not much depth.
  • FS: Elam is a SS, Ihedigbo is a SS and a FA, no depth.
  • TE: Pitta is a FA, and he may never be the same again. Ed Dickson is also a FA and he sucks. Caldwell wanted to install a 2-TE offense like NE this preseason, and if he plans to stick with that, TE is going to be a big need
  • ILB: Arthur Brown has been good in limited snaps, he'll move into Daryl Smith's spot when he leaves as a FA. Just mediocre run-stuffers behind Brown

I personally don't see Ozzie drafting a WR early with Tackle as such a big need and the presence of some decent WRs in the 2nd round (Abbrederis!!!), but I'd love it as a fan. I could see Ozzie homering Alabama and taking either Mosley or C-Dix (I also think our draft position will be lower in the end; we might even win the last wildcard). We'll probably be getting 3rd and 4th round compensatory picks thanks to Kruger, McPhee, and Cary Williams, so luckily we'll be able to address more holes with quality players.

Anyway, I killed a lot of time writing this tl;dr analysis of our needs ^_^

Of course Shipley is undersized. He's a 6ft 195lbs WR m8.

what is this nonsense.

How does it feel to draft a lump of shit kicker in the 5th round while the best kicker of the 2012 class was a UDFA from your own backyard.

I'd be perfectly fine with Tampa drafting as you predicted here, picking a quality TE is a huge need for the team and offensive line depth is definitely not a bad thing considering the injuries they've had to Carl Nicks and Davin Joseph. Not the sexy pick I thought they'd get as they went 2-8 but the team found life and they might even win a few more.
