After my father died, I was pretty shaken up. My mother had died only a few months earlier, and so I had both of their urns just sitting there in my garage, next to my old gasoline containers and trashcans and shit. I was also pretty ticked off that my boss at Sizzlers only gave me a couple days off to mourn, but I needed the work, so I couldn't just quit.
So I went back to work Monday and took home the seasoning shaker I use to flavor the steaks while they're grilling. I opened the top of the shaker and mixed in about two tablespoons of my mother and father's ashes into the shaker and sealed it back up and took it back to work the next day. Everytime I used it, a tiny amount of my parents' ashes fell onto the steak that would soon be consumed by the patrons at the restaraunt. I did this for about 4 months or so working 5 days a week at full-time, sometimes more, until some co-worker noticed me taking the shakers home and told my ass-hole boss. Anyway, long story short, he found out about it and fired me, and got me banned from all of the sizzlers in the area. It was worth it though, I mean I got through almost all of my Mother's ashes and most of my Father's, and it was pretty cool to have the ashes of my parents live on in the bodies, hearts, and colons of the people who ate there... some real circle of life shit man, it was beautiful.
