Let's make a scenario for you to get more clarity on what I'm talking about.
You have been arrested for the murder of your boss. The night of the murder you got into a fight with your boss at the work place in which other employees saw. The weapon used for the murder had your fingerprints on it. You didn't commit the murder, but under the light of the evidence you were sent to prison to serve a 30 year sentence.
While you're living your daily routine out in prison, you are institutionalized by the guards constantly telling you you're guilty. Not even your inmates believe that you are truly innocent, saying yea everyone here's innocent. Would you not start to believe that you are really guilty, living in a reality of your own making to relieve yourself of the constant reminder that no one believes you?
I'm not stupid. No, I wouldn't think I was guilty of something I know I did not commit. Regardless, where are you going with this?
e/ sorry you live a life of grief.
