I killed kicker and defense positions
I enjoy superflex a lot I feel like it makes qbs as valuable as they should be.
Right now its
QB
RB
Rb
Wr
Wr
Te
Flex
Flex
What would you advocate for, another wr? (And conversion of a flex to superflex?) And yeah a couple more bench spots can be added since such long term plans are involved in the management, but I do like the pressure a short bench creates.
if we wanted to keep smaller rosters and only start 9,
i would advocate for another flex spot, 3 flex total ( conversely a third wr spot could work but i like flex cause maybe you wanna start a te or rb instead bc you didn't get wr blessed in draft bc of position or something or other )
if we were going for start 10, id say 3 flex 1 superflex ( allows 2nd qb to be played in this slot )
small benches means fiesty waiver wire so i don't hate it but if theres assloads of talent on the wire every week the draft means way less if you waiver your way to victory also kinda hurts the reason to trade when you can waiver someone a tiny bit lesser
and the smallest ive seen a dynasty league bench i think is 10 spots
also -
typically dynasty leagues run a "taxi" slot where normally 2-4 rookies ( typically on the lower side here) you like but don't think have much value right now could be put into this slot on your team to wait a year and see if you still want to hold onto them,
taxi spots are only available to rookies or first year players - and are locked once season starts ( meaning you can't put someone onto your taxi squad unless the season has ended ) however you may take someone off the squad mid season if he turns into justin jefferson and you want to play him now
as far as trades go, i typically wouldn't veto anything unless its blatant collusion - nobody is taking jamaal williams evan engram and darius slayton for like chris olave ( you can't pile up enough shit to justify value wise for the golden player - anyone can pick up 6 waiver wire guys that suck and offer a 6 for 1 )
