So what it would come down to ... which team should put a higher relative value on the short term benefit of having 1 year of Butler at a favorable rate?

Seems like the Pats (current SB favorites) would be in much more a "win now" situation, willing to forgo the longterm value of the picks, right?

rofl, pic of this? Love me sum Jules & Danny. Good man danny is for taking his second pay cut now (i think)?

The Wes Welker situation probably discourages Edelman/Amendola from leaving .. they know they won't be valued by the free market as much as the Pats value them

I think for the Pats' to part ways with butler this season that they would only accept overpay (IMO) (think Danny Ainge  ). Butler is more valuable to the patriots this season than he would be on the saints. I don't think Butler to the Saints makes them even close to a SB contender this season so i don't see the trade happening.

and on the second part you're probably right, especially in Danny's case. I bet Jules could get a little more $ else where but probably not anywhere near as much to make it worthwhile for him.

Bills declined to match two-year, $6.4 million offer sheet that RB Mike Gillislee signed with Patriots, per source. Gillislee now a Pat.
