Thats badass, just wish Sproles was wearing an Eagles jersey.
I have faith we can keep DeSean around.
Honestly, if they want to draft a wr, go ahead and do it, but keep DeSean! His over the top speed adds that dimension to our offense, we can't rely on Maclin coming back 100% as a #1 type wr. PAY THE MAN. He killed it for us last year... at least keep him this year, and cut him next year if they want to..
Agreed. I'd like to see him stay, but at the same time I trust Chip Kelly, he has a corner on the college talent better than any of us and better than most scouts. He knows EXACTLY what he can get out of this draft. If moving DeSean is what he feels is necessary to make this team better, and improve in areas (for example blocking in the run game) then so be it.
And this draft is deep as hell at WR, a lot of play makers with some big potential.
Like I said before, keep in mind Kelly's offense is run based. Blocking WR's is very important, and that's one thing DeSean is terrible at.
Kelly likes his players tall, he made that clear from the day he was signed. Offensively and defensively, that's why they went out and got taller corners who can tackle. He likes tall physical guys, not ones that have physical disadvantages size wise. I don't think Kelly feels the headache of DeSean is worth keeping him, as talented as he is he feels he can replace him if he's willing to trade the guy..
