It was a bad game in that aspect for sure. It's just not something I'm worried about moving forward.

Yeah I agree. Pretty much cost us the game. But we had them at 4th and 5 on their own 30 yard line with <1 minute left and we let them convert. THAT is what lost us the game.

yea that one fail stop...not the failures earlier in the game that had us in that situation.

murray and our dbs fucked us imo. aside from woodson cuz no lie man was trying his ass off, as usual

i feel like dennis greene when i think of my raiders right now :( "they are who we thought they were!!!"

They are exactly who I thought they were--a young team developing talent but not quite ready to take that next step. Consistency is being built, and until we fix the secondary we're going to lose a lot of games in a passing league like this. The good things that I was hoping for? They're there. The youthful mistakes that I was expecting? Well...they're there too. But the potential and skill is showing through, and that excites me. The rest of the season should at the very least be entertaining to watch...if we perform at our best, we can beat pretty much any team.

Great young talent with amazing veterans. Tuck, Woodson, Penn, Barnes, and Janikowski. They'll pave the way. :)
Hoping for a .500 record this year and next year, a leap to a wildcard spot. Going to have to shore up the secondary to have any success in the long run. When does Nate Allen come back?

We won't reach .500 this season IMO. Dropped a game to the Bears and not a lot of games on our schedule look terribly winnable. Then again, the Chiefs and Chargers are kind of blowing chunks this season...we'll see how things shape up. I just don't see us reaching .500 because I'm not sure how consistent our team can be over an entire season.

I just don't see the Chargers and Chiefs continuing to perform as poorly as they have so far. Also, Charles will have a HUGE day against us. We suck ass at covering RBs.

We'll probably lose both to the Broncos. Manning can still carve up our secondary, despite performing incredibly poorly this season. Their defense is also playing lights out. We won't beat GB.

Steelers and Lions will be tough games. Can we cover Brown and Johnson? Remember, we have Carrie playing safety for some inane reason, so our best option at CB...yup. D.J. Hayden will likely be matched up against the #1's. God help us. Even with Vick and Stafford throwing.

Chargers and Chiefs look beatable, but I'd expect to split the set 2-2 against these guys. Jets, Vikings, and Titans *should* all be wins. We're far from polished as a team (as shown by the loss to the Bears) so I'd anticipate going 2-1 in those efforts, which means we need 2 wins against teams I don't expect us to beat. I see 1 upset happening, not sure if I can believe 2. And that's with everything else falling fairly favorably for us.

It's possible, but with our weaknesses in the secondary and a young roster, I'm not sure we'll pull it off.
