I might back off stafford for a few after reading about our oline struggles this year. Personally I've felt like he's had time to throw but has seemed scared to take any chances with the ball.

Why is there even a debate as to when Calvin Johnson will be playing again?
A high ankle sprain typically requires at least two or three weeks to heal properly.

At best he should be ready to play in mid October. That's assuming he was already resting for the past week. But yet he played a little bit against the Bills and may play against the Vikings on Sunday. Isn't he risking further injury by playing through the ankle sprain?

The head coach of the Lions has to step up and keep him off the field against the Vikings.

That is because it isn't a high ankle sprain.

When you have a high ankle sprain you can hardly walk. He was walking just fine just minutes after the injury.
He might have said it was a HASprain, but there has been no official word. I highly doubt it is.

either way, let Calvin rest...he shouldve been resting since the jets game...I'm perfectly fine with him resting and getting 100% for after the bye

Not too bad!

@davebirkett: As @mikerothstein said, Prater got a minimum salary benefit deal for the rest of the year. Will make $603k in cash, cap hit is $402k

So... Our odds vs vikings without ap and a rookie qb are pretty much 1:1 or "straight up". I honestly prior to sucking dick last week vs the bills would've put this game at at least 2:1. Our defense still looked great last week... Is our offense really that bad? I know we would've won had we let suh kick every kick ...still though wtf

I'd rather have Ponder in there than Bridgewater.

Apparently Hanson had offered to come out of retirement? If true, I don't know. I think Prater is better for the team... but god would I love to see Hanson again.
