People whine so much. I'm happy with teddy. Glad we got him.

Agreed man

Overall very very solid draft, Got two top talents round 1 that filled major holes, got a player in the third that easily could have been a 2nd round pick at DE for rotation. Got a 3rd round Corner in Exum in the 5th and Oh god we got Yankey who could have been a 2nd round guard in the 5th. I think the vikings will come away this year again with one of the higher graded drafts, Rick speilman has done a great job these past three years handling the draft

Still no safety sooo damn I guess they trust sanford, but I will bet we address MLB and safety early next year unless Audie Cole really comes on (he was coming on pretty strong towards the end of last season)

Minnesota Vikings

On paper at least, the Vikings had one of the top drafts in 2014. UCLA’s Anthony Barr was a slight reach as a pass rusher under development, but the team really scored by trading back into the end of the first round and grabbing Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Their third-round picks — Oregon State defensive lineman Scott Crichton and Georgia Southern do-it-all back Jerick McKinnon — should provide valuable depth right away. And grabbing Stanford guard David Yankey in the fifth round could amount to highway robbery in a few years. An outstanding haul for first-year head coach Mike Zimmer and his staff.

Love it even more now

If you recall I wanted Teddy or one of the 3 QBs at #8 so I was stunned when we moved up and got Teddy who I liked the most.
Many people say Barr was a reach, I don't think so. He was a top 5 player in the draft a couple months ago. If anyone can coach em up its Zimmer and his exotic blitz schemes.
Exum was a great value
Mckinnon looks like a guy who can really make a quick impact as AD's backup.
I read something saying if Crichton was drafted in the 1st round it would be a shocker around the league. High motor guy. Zimmer gets his Michael Johnson here.

Apparently the latest rumor was the vikings and browns were fighting to trade up to 22 to draft teddy. Browns landed the pick and at the last minute haslam told them to take johnny football. Vikes were shocked but happy and waited until 32 to trade up and pick teddy before houston

I read/heard different. I heard the Vikings were trying to trade up for Manziel, but the Browns traded up and got him instead.

I've been ranting about how bad I wanted teddy throughout this entire draft process. And I'll admit a lot of fans disagreed or wanted Carr or Bortles. I still think we got the best QB this draft.

As for Barr he wasn't really a top 5 player but he wasn't that big of a reach. If he was there are 10 the Lions would have been in heaven if not them definitely the titans so I think he just fell into the right situation as Zimmer knows how to coach up LBs (burflict)

Idk how I feel about Mickonnon so time will really tell, I thought there were better RBs out there. But after Teddy, Yankey was BY FAR my favorite pick up. I see him instantly starting and he will be a stud. He was a 2nd round OG that really fell for no real reason. Gotta love how we snagged him in the 5th

He reports it was a fake report so I really doubt there was any competition. But the Vikigns had Teddy #1 and Johnny #2 all along. I was happy to see I was right over all the analysis who kept claiming Borltes was our #1, I highly believe we would have passed on Bortles and we never liked Carr as many tried to say as well

I read/heard that the Vikings war room erupted when Bortlesgod was taken from them and they were tempted to not even participate in the draft after that.

That was the initial story yes.

On a side note, with you wanting teddy so bad all offseason, you ok?

we never wanted Bortles homie B) we didn't even have him come out showed very little interest and Spelman said he really only grouped 4 QBs. He said Teddy and Johnny where his first tear, Garoppollo he would have taken at 40 if teddy and Johnny were gone and Savage in the third. Bortles wasn't on his radar

Yea I read/heard the same. Why do you think the Browns also instantly traded down? They were so red faced angry after we took Bortlesgod. But after a few picks went by, they cooled off some and decided they'd toughen up and stick it out.

Why would I not be ok when we had the best draft BY FAR, out of any team in the league?
