Minnesota Vikings
On paper at least, the Vikings had one of the top drafts in 2014. UCLA’s Anthony Barr was a slight reach as a pass rusher under development, but the team really scored by trading back into the end of the first round and grabbing Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Their third-round picks — Oregon State defensive lineman Scott Crichton and Georgia Southern do-it-all back Jerick McKinnon — should provide valuable depth right away. And grabbing Stanford guard David Yankey in the fifth round could amount to highway robbery in a few years. An outstanding haul for first-year head coach Mike Zimmer and his staff.

Love it even more now
If you recall I wanted Teddy or one of the 3 QBs at #8 so I was stunned when we moved up and got Teddy who I liked the most.
Many people say Barr was a reach, I don't think so. He was a top 5 player in the draft a couple months ago. If anyone can coach em up its Zimmer and his exotic blitz schemes.
Exum was a great value
Mckinnon looks like a guy who can really make a quick impact as AD's backup.
I read something saying if Crichton was drafted in the 1st round it would be a shocker around the league. High motor guy. Zimmer gets his Michael Johnson here.
I've been ranting about how bad I wanted teddy throughout this entire draft process. And I'll admit a lot of fans disagreed or wanted Carr or Bortles. I still think we got the best QB this draft.
As for Barr he wasn't really a top 5 player but he wasn't that big of a reach. If he was there are 10 the Lions would have been in heaven if not them definitely the titans so I think he just fell into the right situation as Zimmer knows how to coach up LBs (burflict)
Idk how I feel about Mickonnon so time will really tell, I thought there were better RBs out there. But after Teddy, Yankey was BY FAR my favorite pick up. I see him instantly starting and he will be a stud. He was a 2nd round OG that really fell for no real reason. Gotta love how we snagged him in the 5th

I read/heard different. I heard the Vikings were trying to trade up for Manziel, but the Browns traded up and got him instead.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000349675/article/mike-pettine-rejects-talk-of-bridgewater-on-draft-cardHe reports it was a fake report so I really doubt there was any competition. But the Vikigns had Teddy #1 and Johnny #2 all along. I was happy to see I was right over all the analysis who kept claiming Borltes was our #1, I highly believe we would have passed on Bortles and we never liked Carr as many tried to say as well
