I was talking about Teddy. We have too many holes in our team to be taking another chance on a qb in the first round...

I wouldn't have selected any qb within the first 3 rounds. I would have signed Vick for dirt cheap back when AD wanted him. Hes been caring our team and putting up with Ponder who I've had to argue with every Viking fan every year that he is trash and everyone keeps wanting to give him time. The dude has AD/Jennings/Rudolph if you can't work with that you don't deserve a starting spot.

Don't get me wrong Spielmans done a good job drafting and I loved the move in coaching staff but our QB decisions are horrible. How many years have we wasted with Jackson/Ponder while having the best rb in the game? The one year we get a decent qb (Favre at what 38?) we get the nfc conf finals.

The team has too many holes to be taking risks on qbs. I'm not saying Teddy will be garbage but he isn't worth the #32 pick in my eyes.

jennings is a No. 2 WR at best (considering he stays healthy) and rudolph is invisible in as many games as he makes an impact in. AD is the fucking best in the game but with no one to throw to other than Patterson and limited catches between the other 2, i don't see that being favorable for ANY qb. especially turnover-happy Vick.

Like I said, outside of Teddy give me names of players you would have wanted us to take to fill our "holes"

I personally think vick is terrible. His accuracy is awful, his decision making is even worse. He looks great at one time than god awful at others. He has only won 2 playoff games in his long career, and he hasn't won since before he was put in jail. There is a reason he is competing for a job with awful Geno smith. Regardless how cheap he would be. The Vikings problem is that we have always relied on average veterans for the past decade (minus favre he was a god) We need to take a chance on a QB or we will never solve that problem, not keep using washed up QBs that have 30 other teams sperm inside them.

Teddy wasnt a reach considering he was a consensus top 10 pick for his past two years in college, it wasn't until the draft process ate him apart when he fell for no real flaw of a reason. Teams have to take chances to be able to succeed.

packers did it with Rodgers, Ravens did it with Flacco, Steelers did it with Ben.

I still want to hear what players you would have rather drafted

Because Rudolph keeps getting injured B) he is a legit talent, considering he didn't play at all last season and was a probowler the year before

i know. but even in that Pro Bowl season he was pretty ineffective in terms of being a legitimate target. red zone presence is nice, but he recorded 40 or less yards in 11 out of 16 games lol

I did go look into him a little more and after watching clips of him I'm feeling a little bit better about drafting him but still I'm not a fan of taking qbs in the first round. Hope I'm wrong and he turns into a star.

On a wildcard note. I wouldn't have minded to see us trade AD to Denver/Cowboys for years of first round talent. I'm not sure how many prime years he has left and if it takes Teddy 2-3 years to become a starter then we have a over the hill rb that we could have taken in multiple picks for.

Could have gotten a first this year and taken Marquise lee and in the second taken Bridgewater and later in the draft trade back up for a guy like Tre Mason.

I understand what you are saying but there are a lot of things wrong with your statement, first if Teddy was there in the start of the 2nd there is not a chance Houston would have passed on him which is why we traded back up. We would have missed on carr as well in the 2nd behind Oak (personally I don't mnd that because Carr is a wimp when presure is in his face and usually that makes for an awful QB). So No teddy got drafted in eh right spot, just time will tell if he will be a star or not no one can ever know until he plays a game so to completely discount him without him playing a single snap is kinda unfair.

Second no one would trade multiple first round picks for a RB anymore not even a HoF AD. Maybe a first and 2nd next year (which if it were denver it would be a 25+ pick) but that's basically nothing near worth it by giving up having a weapon that will make any young QB's job incredibly easier to transition into the NFL. So no giving AP away is not going to happen and it's not happening for a good reason

I have faith in teddy because he has shown to be a stud in college with decision making and ball placement, and he does amazing with a guy right in his face. I am not going to say teddy is guranteed to succeed and im not defending the pick but it's dumb to say it is a bad pick until we see how it pans out.

I think we have filled plenty of holes so far so Idk what player you would have wanted with QB being our biggest problem and we got a legitiment talent
