Best offense in the league for the last month.
Doug Martin is 10 times better than I thought he'd be when they drafted him. I figured him and Blount would form a kind of two-headed monster but it has been more of Martin 95% of the time with Blount getting the ball very rarely. I think Blount is awesome but I don't ever see him taking on a larger role barring an injury to Martin, which would be just awful.
Freeman had another game with a rating of 100+. No turnovers, 2 TDs, an average of 8 yards or so per throw and he had a good run or two this game. I'm standing by my position that he's likely to become the best QB the franchise has ever seen. Had a few bad throws and a bad handoff to Blount but no huge mistakes, really. Looks like whatever coaching he's receiving is working very well.
Williams is bouncing back big time this season. Jackson is awesome but at the end of the day Martin's success took away the need for Freeman to throw so the receivers didn't have as big of games as they could of. I'd still like to see them find a good, young TE in the draft to supplement their receivers but for the moment Dallas Clark seems to be doing alright.
Defense could use some work in the secondary, which was obvious coming in, but they actually managed to do better than I expected (even though they still did bad, giving Palmer his best game this season I believe). They did good against the run and I'm very, very happy McCoy is still playing.
I wonder if it is possible for them to go 6-2 the rest of the way and finish at 10-6, giving them a shot at the playoffs. The games versus Atlanta are going to be huge and I have faith they take at least one of them.
The secondary def needs improving.
Couldn't watch the game, but paid attention to it via Scorecenter app.
Freeman is improving, which is very nice - Martin was a beast (251/4 is incredible) - OLine without Nicks was pretty solid.
D - I can't say much. lol
