Was throwing money at Poz a waste at MLB? What about Dawan Landry at SS? What about Session at WLB? He was really starting to pick it up before he got put on IR because of concussions. Smith/Poz/Session gives us the best 4-3 LB trio in the NFL. We got a steal in the Dwight Lowery trade. We gave up a 7th round pick for a very good player. You can bet your ass that Jet fans wish they still had him right now. Lowery and Landry gives us a very good Safety group. If we don't resign Lowery, it'll be a huge mistake. Those guys helped turn our Defense into a Top Defense this past season.
My point is, if you target players who will jump right into your system, who fit and jell with the other guys who are already there. It's not a waste at all.
I agree 100% that we have to build through the draft, but if we don't sign a true #1, Vet WR on this team, we're going to continue to have problems in the Passing game. We simply do not have a #1 or #2 WR on this roster. We have a bunch of #3s and #4s right now. You don't build through FA, but you acquire through FA and that's what we need to do.
Pretty sure the Jets aren't too concerned with their corner situation.. LMAO
