Sigh... Falcons set to release Clabo

I've been a fan of him for awhile.... he had a downish year, but this will mean two long term starters out on the oline this year.. sigh..

Never know... Lamar Holmes might be showing more promise than expected. He was a late "raw" pick last year and was a developmental pick.
He had the strength, body to be a beast tackle, just needed to work on hands/footwork. We'll see I guess.

This release opens 4.5 mil which will put us at 7 mil total... are we trying to bring back freeny/abraham or some shit? ...
Most likely to free up money for Ryan's contract that's closer to being completed.

sucks to see Clabo go, I don't see much potential in our backup O line, so it may be something that has to be addressed in the draft if not in the FA.

I have faith. I do however think this money will be used to pick up a lb or de. Unless they are trying to make Ryan's contract top heavy.

We are 35 mil under the cap for next year and the only big names that are FA's are Ryan, Babs and TG. Front loading Ryans contract might happen.

Any thoughts in are rt replacement? I am kinda iffy on letting Holmes start there... He is a fine pass blocker but not a road grader which Jackson will need/want.

Looking at our oline... We will sign the bpa... Konz will move accordingly. We may draft a gaurd center or rt haha. From interviews and workouts we have guys all over the board from early to late at all spots that we show interest in. We may go center and let Konz stay at rg or get a rg and let Konz go center and let a competition go for the Rt spot. Or get a Rt Knoz slides to center and Gerret becomes our rg. All valid in my opinion looking forward to watching what happens.
