Better than ff7?



That's some real midwest weather! Was -18 when I woke up with a real feel of like -30 or something crazy. Car didn't start so I decided that was a sign lol

FF7 will ALWAYS have the nostalgia factor. I've beaten FF7 at least 20 times, and I just killed Emerald/Ruby, and got a second set of master materia this week lol. No game will ever beat the replability that FF7 has for me. This game though is fucking flawless from what I've seen. Everything is so well done, all the encounters have been amazing, the free roam, the fact that it's a TRUE free roam without this level based candy ass bullshit that all games implement today. Oh, you wandered into an epic dungeon at lvl 5? Lets just scale everything WAYYYY down for you. Oh? You want to try and fight a guardian with 4 hearts and a weapon with 20 power rating and no special shit? Okay, watch as you do 0 damage and die in one hit. It's pretty much perfect. Even the cooking is amazing lol. I can't wait to explore everything, I'm just wandering around like a crazy person killing everything I can and finding as many shrines and hidden little leaf people things as I can. There is hidden shit EVERYWHERE. I have no idea how much time/effort went into this game, but it's just fucking beautiful. All the hype was true.

FF7 is horrid. FF8 > rest.

FF8 is just boring as hell. The junction system was terrible, and it made the game wayyyy too easy. Even the optional bosses were a breeze on 8. It took me over a month to figure out how to beat emerald.

Finished reading Enders Game, such a great book. Got most of the series just gotta get a few more to complete it.




8 was too slow. The Magic/Draw system is cancer. Best part of the game was the card game.

I'd honestly rank it as one of the worst of the series too. A lot of it just felt misplaced or random.

I mean, pretty much everything after 10 was garbage lol. 8 was at least better than those failures. 9 was also pretty bad, mostly just because of how horrible of an FF7 ripoff it was, and it was painfully easy. The secret boss was a bitch though, I never beat him. I refuse to look shit up of course, and the last time I tried I was like 12 or 13, maybe I could do it it now. 10 was amazing, 7 is my all-time favorite, even if the story is kinda meh at points, and I haven't played all the older ones, but I've enjoyed all the ones I have played more than 8 or 9. Anyone ever play any of the Bloody Roar series?

I grew up on that shit, Megaman X, and Pokemon haha.

12 was okay but I agree with that, 10 was the last really good one made (although I do admit I enjoyed x-2). 9 was actually pretty decent and I enjoyed the story, plus the Chocobo Hot and Cold was pretty cool. The hardest optional boss BY FAR, Ozma > Emerald/Ruby > Rest. I can admit this is one I haven't beaten and tempted to buy this on Steam to play it through and have another go at it.

I enjoyed 7 but it is by far one of the most overrated games ever. Personal favorite of the series is either 3/6 or Tactics. I've put in hundreds of hours on both and would replay them if I could.
