Not gona touch the Eli topic but how is Myers below average? He's a more reliable Martellus Bennett. He's not gona run many deep routes but his intermediate game in Oakland was crazy and it's only going to improve under Eli.

Nicks when he's healthy is an absokute monster. Joseph is not overrated by any stretch, jenkins maybe.

I'm not trying to get into an argument with you about Eli and the whole Elite thing, because that's a waste of time. What I'm saying, I'm my honest opinion (take it for whatever you think it's worth), Eli is not an Elite QB with the likes of Peyton, Rodgers, Brees and Brady. He is a Great QB though as is Big Ben and Rivers.

Myers isn't even as good as Bennett and I don't even like Bennett.

The best ability is availability and honestly I don't really want to hear about the "if healthy" thing. Everybody is playing hurt and he really hasn't missed a bunch of games. I understand he has had nagging injuries, but he shouldn't be on the field if it's that big of a problem.

Myers is more reliable than Bennett he has better hands and gets open more. Bennett was a much better blocker, had great size, used his body well and was a deep threat. Myers is an intermediate to mid field reliable target and we got him from half the price of Bennett. I would of LOVED to lock Bennett up but it wasn't realistic given our cap.

I agree with you thar Nicks shouldn't have played last season, especially since we had Randle itching to get out there and prove himself... we saw what he did once he got playing time the last few games. Jerry Reese admitted they made a mistake and should have temporarily IR'd Nicks until the end of the season/playoffs... which we would have made had Randle gotten playing time early in the season.

Not a bad assessment of the Giants players..
Eli - I think that, for the Giants, this guy is an elite player. I don't think other "elite" quarterbacks can come in to New York and play for the Giants at the level this guy has the past few years. He's just what the Giants need at QB.
Wilson - Can't argue with average for a guy in his 2nd year that was mostly a return specialist in his first year.
Nicks - No problem with him. High quality and when he's healthy and at his best this offense is close to unstoppable.
Cruz - No problem. I'm not a very big fan of his. He makes flashy plays but also makes gutless plays. Needs to stop gator arming it.
Randle - Can't really call him above average at this point. As xnozx has been saying though, I think he will have a solid year and will make that jump.
Myers - Haven't watched much film on this guy so can't really say.
Beatty - No problem here. High quality.
Boothe - Should also be high quality.
Baas - Should be below average.
Snee - Right now he is an average player. Think he's been having concussion issues the past few years though.
Diehl - Would say below average.
JPP - Elite and DPOY candidate for many years to come.
Jenkins - Average but could very well become above average in this defense.
Joseph - Severely underrated. Should be high quality...
Tuck - Average at best right now. Hoping for more this year though.
Williams - Can be an every down linebacker playing at an above average level. Below average for now is fine.
Herzlich - Would say below average or poor.
Hosley - Would say average for a nickel corner.
Prince - Should be above average. Will be high quality/elite soon enough.
Webster - Should be average right now.
Rolle - No problem with his below average right now. Hopefully he can play a more comfortable game this year.
Brown - Should be average but no problem after only one season of playing full time.

My personal opinions on this. I like our team. I think our linebacker situation is much better than people give credit.

Will Hill of New York Giants suspended for four games

New York Giants safety Will Hill is in more trouble.

The Giants announced Saturday that the NFL has suspended Hill without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Hill will be eligible to return to the active roster Sept. 30, after the Giants' Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.

This already is the second suspension for Hill, a second-year pro who was suspended four games last year for performance-enhancing drug use. Hill said that previous suspension was for Adderall. His latest suspension is for substance abuse, an important distinction.

It's a troubling new development for Hill, who appeared to turn his life around after partying and drug use derailed his college career at Florida and led to him being undrafted by an NFL team.

You wonder how much more patience the Giants will have following this latest setback.

Giants' offensive tweaks will have big impact
Improvement on paper doesn't translate into championships. That being said, I love what the New York Giants did offensively. Sure, it was subtler than what teams like the

Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts did, but it was needed. New York turned the page on the underachieving and often banged-up Ahmad Bradshaw at running back and

gave the ground game to two potential stars in David Wilson and Andre Brown. Brown is a phenomenal angry runner who's going to give an edge to the Giants' rushing attack,

while Wilson can score from anywhere on the field.

While the Victor Cruz contract drama ended happily for both sides, the bigger news in the passing game was the signing of Brandon Myers. Eli Manning has made a weapon out of any

tight end he's had, whether it was Kevin Boss, Jake Ballard or Martellus Bennett. Now he'll be working with the most talented player the Giants have had at the position in years.

Watch the impact he has on every game. In fact, I'll borrow from our NFL Fantasy Live show and give you a bold prediction for the G-Men: If everyone stays healthy, they'll lead the NFL in total offense.

just some more content
