I'm right there with you on LotR. That's why I didn't say better. Because 1 and 2 are at least equal. I'm not a huge fan of the books or anything like that but I legitimately watch the entire series once a year. I have the extended extended deluxe extended blue rays and it's honestly too much. It makes them like 4 hours long each and that extra hour isn't necessary at all. Most of the extra scenes are stupid fucking songs.
That's the thing though, he did have that role lol. It's like the best villain portyal ever, it was glorious. The two-face thing was idiotic, but there's hardly any movies that do everything perfectly from start to finish, and I liked Rises, but I hate that directors feel they need to go BIGGER with every sequel, you don't. At least I don't think you have to. Bale's Batman voice irritated the hell out of me by the end of the movie, and I'll be honest, Bane turned out A LOT better than I thought he would, but I was just bored by the end of it all, and I was ready for it to be over. Begins gets a lot of flak, but I thought that was one of the best superhero movies we've seen. Easily one of the best original stories imo.
