Nolan's Batman is the next closest, but still, Rises was my least favorite of the three by a decent margin.
Really?! I thought Rises was the best of the 3. Dark Night would have been meh if it wasn't for Ledger playing the role of a lifetime. What they did with Two-face is one of my biggest 'fuck you' moments ever. I'm still angry about it. I was pissed when I found out they were doing Bane but they knocked it out of the park.
I'm right there with you on LotR. That's why I didn't say better. Because 1 and 2 are at least equal. I'm not a huge fan of the books or anything like that but I legitimately watch the entire series once a year. I have the extended extended deluxe extended blue rays and it's honestly too much. It makes them like 4 hours long each and that extra hour isn't necessary at all. Most of the extra scenes are stupid fucking songs.
