So after throwing 12 INTs in his first 5.5 games. Bortles only threw 5 INTs in his last 8 games.

His only lost fumble was from being stripped from behind on a scramble for a positive gain against the Dolphins.

Not too bad for a Rookie QB who got sacked 55 times (most in the NFL) and he didn't even play the entire season.

He'll be much better next year, after taking the beating this year. He now knows what it's like to play in the NFL and he has 13.5 games of film on himself to break down and learn from.

Things he wouldn't have if he had sat on the bench all season long.

eli not on even on the final ballot for the award.

xnoz called it

As I've been saying for years.
Interceptions have a lot more to do with the system than with the quarterback.
Not to mention they are such a crazy variable number.

Kind of funny how his INTs went down soon after that bum Allen Robinson went on IR

Cutler gets benched one week and still wins this.

That takes talent. :hail:

1 guy, completely different INT numbers

Someone on football-reference ran a regression on i think like 10+ years of qb stats and found that ints correlated most with the system while sacks correlated most with the individual qb

I referenced turnovers, not specifically interceptions. cool study, but i'm not sure where sacks come into play here... a lot more factors than a single QB when it comes to being sacked.
