I want to loose to get qb out of the draft etc...
I want to develop Pryor, he's shown poise and promise. He improved a TON from week 1 to week 2, the guy's obviously pretty sharp. If he can continue to improve we'll have a great QB in a year or two.
Honestly, at this point I want an OT/G or a DB out of the draft; I think that's where we're weak. Our WR position isn't great, but I really like Streeter; I think he could be a solid 1 or 2 next year then we should look to the draft if none of our guys step up. Our front 7 is strong enough; we have good run D and pretty solid pass rush, and our LBs are pretty studly. If Woodson can shape up 1 or 2 of our current DBs we're looking at a reasonable unit next year, esp if we can get another stud from the draft. We'll have McFadden for a few more years, so for now the RB position is reasonable. I've already said our WRs aren't great but they aren't as big a concern as our o-line IMO, so shoring up that position with a strong young stud would give Pryor more time to develop into a passer and would bolster our rushing attack with McFadden. I think if Pryor doesn't show signs of improvement by the end of his 3rd year starting, we look to the draft board again. But spending 2 years building up our secondary, o-line, and WRs? Probably our best bet for long-term success. Another good DT or DE wouldn't go amiss either.
I don't think we need top 10 picks to improve this team. I think right now what we need more than anything is a taste of success to build a hunger in our team...we have a lot of pieces in place, let's get those pieces motivated towards improvement and get set on the path to a winning season.
