I hate to disagree with you but next year will be a step back for the chiefs. Just look at the offensive line free agents: Potential 2014 free agents: Albert, Asamoah, Schwartz.
That is one outstanding player and two guys who contributed A LOT. Albert is gone and fisher looks no where close to being able to fill in. Combine the problems we will have on the offensive line with the problems at defensive back and wide receiver, it could be a step back for sure. Not to mention people like Derrick Johnson are no spring chickens. ALSO, the rookie class we just drafted was a absolutely horrid and we won't have a second round draft pick.
One of the bright spots is that Alex Smith seemed to really take a step forward towards the end of the year.

I saw this today on Twitter, and thought you guys would enjoy it if you have not already seen it...
When I started watching football, and really got into the sport and began to love it (2002); Priest Holmes was our running back and I thought he was God's gift to us. Then in '03 when we went 13-3 there was no turning back. He was such a great man, and athlete and I love that we did this for him. I was sad when he had to retire, because his leaps into the endzone were amazing and I always looked forward to them on Sundays. Okay, I just wanted to throw this up here because he is still one of my top favorite athletes, and J.C. reminds me of Holmes and that's probably why I love J.C. so much.
