good pickup, and with the amount they paid him it's clear they are making a strong push this year

i'm looking forward to see what moves they make in the draft

Lol he had limited playing time and had 6 sacks... If we can grab a conor and de in the draft and a good olb to cover te's we should be set.

My dream mock that could happen....

1st: Desmond Trufant

2nd Trade: with 51 spots taken with 11 picks it would be a waste for Atlanta not to trade up as they would have to cut 7 people. They trade their 3rd, 4th, & 7th to take either Mia's or Cin's 2nd since they have 2 seconds each. With this pick we select Tank Carradine who had fell due to injury but is top 20 talent.

2nd: Brandon Williams the big body we need.

4th comp pick: Tyrann Mathieu. Say whaaaaaat? Lol.. I know. Atl doesn't take these kind of guys but! Dion himself told Atlanta to take a chance on this kid and they have interviewed him. He has great ball skills, is a play maker, and he fills our return man needs.

All other picks td takes over the draft and I have no idea where the will go. Thoughts are welcomed.

i like the idea of trading up for an early second and would love if they could get mathieu on track but this guy has a proven track record of just not caring. he has great intuition and somehow always knows where to be to make a play but the last thing the falcons need is a guy who's going to cause problems. he would be best off in some podunk town where he can't get in TOO much trouble. you really wanna set this guy loose in downtown atlanta? lol

I can dream haha. It is interesting though that Atlanta is talkin to these "character" guys we usually avoid them. It is as though we think we have a locker room full of leaders that our front office trust to put people in the right place and for them to lead them in the right direction.

think about the city we're in. not even being racist but atlanta is a very black city, especially downtown and these guys just go getting themselves into trouble trying to be thugs and gangsters. it reminds me of that beasley kid in the NBA. stupid ass heat drafting him like #2 and the dude couldn't hold his shit together in south beach and got traded almost immediately lol.

send him to like, the titans lol. make him live in nashville or wherever the hell they play up there haha a few months of country music should straighten him right up :P
