Well, one thing is for certain. We got a lot faster at the skill positions.

I'm still worried about our front 7. Osweiller has some new weapons to work with, but receivers take a 2-3 years to blossom (especially Braxton Miller, who started playing WR just two years ago).

I think our tight ends will still be bad, and I worry our run blocking. The pass protection looks like it will remain solid.

Lamar Miller is a good back, I'm just concerned about the run blocking. Xavier Su’a-Filo needs to step up, but I doubt he will.

"I have tremendous respect for both John Elway and Peyton Manning as people and as quarterbacks in the NFL, but I was not concerned one bit with playing in their shadow. That didn't weigh into my decision whatsoever," Osweiler said. "Bottom line, I made my decision off where I felt like I could have the most success playing quarterback in the NFL and where I could go and win long term."

Man am I excited! It's about time I can be happy and look forward to a good season without having to watch T.J. Yates- LOL! Definitely looking forward to reclining every Sunday enjoying my Texans win - or at least have a better shot :)

Jadeveon Clowney: I sure hope 2016 is the year he has a breakout season and stays healthy.
What a great lift he would be for what could become a very strong pass rush this season.

The Texans offense has plenty of speed to burn. Brock Osweiler will be able to showcase his arm.
We do have to temper expectations just a little though. Will Fuller and Braxton Miller are rookies.
But DeAndre Hopkins is primed for a monster season and Jaelen Strong finally has his head on straight.

Lamar Miller will hopefully rejuvenate our running game. Jonathan Grimes and Alfred Blue are decent depth.
Our offensive line will have its issues if Duane Brown can't stay healthy and our tight ends have to be more productive.
Between Ryan Griffin and C.J. Fiedorowicz, we need one of those guys to step up and become a viable threat in the passing game.

The Texans offense is going to be a work in progress but the potential is much better than what it was last year.
Our defense has a chance to become special. They'll keep us in a lot of games. J.J. Watt is still the best player on the planet.

Special teams: I'm pulling for the undrafted rookie kicker out of UCLA, Ka'imi Fairbairn, to beat out the veteran Nick Novak.

Ka'imi Fairbairn had won the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker last year. I'm surprised he wasn't drafted. Ka'imi Fairbairn has a dynamic leg. He can make 60-yard field goals. If he's reliable from 30 to 55, that's all we really need. So far in mini camp and off-season workouts he's been impressing the Texans coaching staff.

I don't think it's going out on a limb to suggest that he'll win our starting kicker job as a rookie.

I'm ready for training camp and the preseason to start. The Texans play at San Francisco on August 14.
It's all about being ready for Week 1 of the regular season when the Texans host the Bears on September 11.

I don't want to make any predictions. We seem to have a pretty tough schedule and the AFC South is looking better.

The Texans play the Patriots Week 3 on September 22 at Foxboro. Thursday Night Football on CBS.
But without Tom Brady playing the Texans can't gain any respect in that game. It's a lose-lose situation.
Even if the Texans beat the Patriots people will say it's because Brady didn't play. And if we lose it will be worse!
