He's your typical 2 down LB in this day and age of NFL football.

He'd be best off testing the market to see what his value is, then take that number back to the Pats. Drop that number a few million and resign with the Pats. It's his best fit imo because Bill can help hide some of the things he can't do on Defense.

If he signs a big contract to join some other team and they expect him to be a stud, every down MLB/ILB, they'll be in for a surprise. Can't fault him for chasing the $$ though, if he decides to take it.

I just don't see it happening. He already got the rings, and it seems like people will almost always take the extra couple million, rather than sticking with a contender. I'd love for him to stay as he fits in with our scheme perfectly, but you're most likely right, he'd probably see a decline, rather than a vast stat improvement if he went somewhere that tried to use him as an all down back.

Just glanced at nfl.coms top 101 FA list... we have 5 guys in their top 30 alone and probably going to lose at least 2 of them, Hightower, Bennett, Logan Ryan, Alan Branch, Jabaal Sheard.
