I had to put my speaker volume on maximum settings just to hear the greatest head coach in NFL History speak.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick discussed Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

The AFC South standings are a laughing matter just like the NFC East.
Colts and Texans are 6-6 (tied for 1st), Jaguars at 4-8 and Titans are 3-9.

If only the Jaguars can upset the Colts on Sunday. The game is in Jacksonville.
The Colts passing defense is ranked 30th and near the bottom. Only two teams are worse.
The Jaguars passing offense is ranked 14th and near the middle of the pack. So maybe there's hope.

But chances are the Texans will have to beat the Patriots on Sunday Night to remain tied.

That would set up the huge Texans at Colts game the following Sunday.
We're 0-13 all time at Indy but that one looming will have higher implications.

The Texans aren't likely to beat the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots anyways.
But I thought the same when they played the Bengals on National TV and surprise surprise.
It's just really difficult to say that the Patriots will lose three games in a row. That would be mind-boggling.

As far as all the key injuries the Patriots have. They still have Tom Brady so they're still a dangerous team and capable of winning. And plus it's sort of even. The Patriots second best player is likely out for this game and the Texans second best player is out for the season. So it's hard to really use injuries as an excuse when every team is capable of losing an all pro player.

Pats haven't lost 3 straight since 2002, good luck :)

Gronk's not playing FYI

That's not good. I was hoping he would play.

If the Texans win people are going to say it's only because Rob Gronkowski didn't play.

But this game is on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Everybody will be watching and too much is at stake.
And you just mentioned it. Patriots have not lost three games in a row since 2002 so that's in play as well.

Here's the second part of Bill Beichick's interview. The Texans coaching staff, four of them, used to work or play for him.

Watt on his hand injury: "I've played with worse. I'm not very worried about it. In football, you're going to play with pain."

Remember in his first pro bowl he was bleeding all over his hand after he cut through his finger.
He's played with a constant bloody nose dripping down during the game. He wants to play every snap.

I wish the game kicked off right now. Tomorrow night seems like forever of a wait.
I'll watch the Jaguars vs. Colts game at noontime tomorrow. We need an upset.

The only guarantee the Texans have of making the playoffs is if they win all four games left and finish 10-6. That would include their first ever franchise win at Indianapolis (0-13 all time) next Sunday, and that would leave the Colts no better than a 9-7 record even if they were to win their other games. The odds are stacked against the Texans to win the 2015 AFC South.

ESPN.com is only giving the Texans a 10 % chance to make the playoffs (division champs or final wild-card spot).

When Arian Foster was lost for the season people thought this team would go 3-13 or 4-12 and finish with a top 6 pick that would have allowed us to draft a quarterback. This playoff run has been a nice surprise because they're really not as good as I want to believe they are.

That loss at Orchard Park, New York against the Bills last Sunday brought me back to reality that this team is just not good enough.

The only way the Texans can lose to the Patriots tomorrow night and still control their own destiny going into the final three games, is if the Jaguars help us out and upset the Colts at noontime tomorrow. That's really asking for a lot. When you rely on other teams it usually never ends up well. Just like the final game of last season the Texans needed to win, and also a Ravens loss to make the playoffs, but the Ravens had won.

I want this to be the first time, EVER, that the Astros, Rockets and Texans made the playoffs in the same year.

Just win every game left, Texans! That's the only surefire way. Do that and you're in.

I know it's unlikely but that's the bottom line.

Not that the Patriots need it but good luck tonight.

The Colts at Jaguars game will air on CBS at 12 noontime here in Houston.
That game has a lot of importance for the Texans. I'm a big Jaguars fan for three hours

I have something to feel excited about before the big game tonight. Assuming the Jags come to play.
Either way, the AFC South is going to be decided next Sunday when the Texans play at Indianapolis.

When the Texans were 1-4 earlier this season it appeared these games late in the season would be to clinch the 1st overall pick. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they would have a chance to win the 2015 AFC South. Not with Arian Foster out for the season. He was nearly 60 % of our offense.

I'm just trying to enjoy the entire atmosphere for tonight's game. It feels good to play a meaningful game in December.
The Texans will be fired up like it's a playoff game. I expect a great effort even if they lose. They know what's at stake.

To the New England Patriots, it's probably just another game as they look to repeat as Super Bowl champions come playoff time.

Turnovers and a missed extra point. The Jaguars are shooting themselves in the foot.
But their defense responded with a nice strip fumble they took back for a defensive TD.

It's only a 13-9 Colts lead at halftime. Four-point game.

If the Jaguars can clean up their mistakes it's still anybody's game. Blake Bortles has got to get his head in the game. He's too talented to be making those dumb turnovers (two fumbles on his last two drives, one was off the snap). His arm is amazing when he has just a little time to pass inside the pocket.

The 2015 AFC South division title is up for grabs but nobody seems to want to take it from the Colts.
They haven't lost a division game since December of 2012 at Houston. That's a total of 16 straight division wins.

The Titans are so bad. The Texans and Jaguars are the only two who have a chance to beat them.

Just because people keep saying that, does not mean it can never happen now.. It is how bad a team wants to win that week. Houston has a good shot at beating the Patriots tonight.
