I thought he was playing on his current tender this year and then that's when the 5 year extension kicks in, making it 6 years total.


I get the $15.6 million over two years part but what does four one-year deals mean?

Are they just implying that because those years are not guaranteed he's essentially on a year by year contract? Isn't everyone nowadays?

His cap hit would be HUGE

I was under impression that extension was simply added onto tender. They must be making assumptions based off non-guaranteed contract. Maybe there are clauses in it?
