He seem like he's in it for money, so he will likely to go to dololphins

Every player is in it for the money however there are other factors that come into play. Just a question i the money out weights the rest.

I hold on the idea that not every player is in it for money. :0

Giants Roster Breakdown #27: Chris DeGeare, OL

Quote
Chris DeGeare has NFL experience, but that might not be enough for him to crack the New York Giants' 53-man roster.

As we continue our lplayer-by-player analysis of the 90-man roster the New York Giants have assembled as training camp approaches let's look at offensive lineman Chris DeGeare.

2012 Season In Review

DeGeare, a 6-foot-4, 335-pound guard, played eight games with five starts for the Minnesota Vikings in 2010. Minnesota drafted him in the fifth round that year. DeGeare had a -6.4 rating from Pro Football Focus in his limited time. He has not played in an NFL game since. He was released by the Vikings last season and spent the year on the Tennessee Titans practice squad.

2013 Outlook

The Giants signed DeGeare to a reserve/futures contract in January. The odds would seem to be stacked against the 26-year-old in his effort to make the Giants' 53-man roster. There simply are not a lot of openings, and there are several young players drafted by the Giants who would seem likely to get priority over a player like DeGeare.

Giants Roster Breakdown #28: Zak DeOssie

Quote
Zak DeOssie should once again be the Giants' long-snapper in 2013.

Let's continue our look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp by looking at the team's veteran long-snapper, Zak DeOssie.

2012 Season In Review

It's hard to believe that DeOssie has already been long-snapping for the Giants for six seasons. He has never missed a game in six seasons and there have been few, if any, bad snaps. That was again the case in 2012.

2013 Outlook

There is no reason to think DeOssie won't be exactly what he has been for the Giants what he has been the past several seasons. That would be an exceptional long-snapper on both punts and field goals, and one of the best coverage players on the punt team despite being the snapper. Someday the fact that DeOssie only snaps and long ago gave up the idea of being an NFL linebacker will cost him a roster spot, but that won't be the case in 2013.

Giants Roster Breakdown #29: David Diehl

Quote
David Diehl is competing to keep his job at the Giants' starting right tackle.

We continue now with our breakdown of the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp next month. We have arrived at one of the most divisive, possibly the most divisive, players on that roster. That would be veteran offensive lineman David Diehl.

2012 Season In Review

Diehl played in 13 games, starting 10 at right tackle. A knee injury cost him three games, making last season only the second time in his 10-year career he has missed games due to injury. In those seasons he has missed only seven games. Diehl's Pro Football Focus grade of -6.8 was the worst on the offensive unit, but an immense improvement over the -47.2 he posted in 2011.

2013 Outlook

We have been over this multiple times, but Diehl will compete with first-round pick Justin Pugh and third-year player James Brewer for the right tackle job. Poor PFF grades notwithstanding offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride recently said it was "going to be very difficult for someone to unseat him" as the starter.

Many Diehl haters don't want to hear that. They also don't want to hear my constant refrain that even if Pugh or Brewer takes the right tackle job away from him, Diehl can still be an incredibly valuable member of the Giants. He can be a plug and play reserve at every position except center. During his career he has played 65 games at left tackle, 42 at left guard, 30 at right tackle and 16 at right guard. I have heard all of the "he plays all of them badly" comments, but am still of the opinion that he can be an important player. You simply can't find that kind of versatile veteran on the free-agent market. Diehl, 32, knows the offense and can do an acceptable short-term job pretty much anywhere the Giants need him.

Giants Roster Breakdown #30: Larry Donnell

Quote
Larry Donnell spent last season on the Giants' practice squad. He is competing to at least reprise that role again this season.

As we continue our player-by-player analysis of the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp in late July we turn our attention to young tight end Larry Donnell, who is fighting for a chance to stick around at what looks like a crowded position.

2012 Season In Review

Donnell made it through the preseason with the Giants in 2012, was waived and then quickly signed to the practice squad. He spent the entire season there.

2013 Outlook

Donnell, 6-foot-6, 269 pounds, hardly ever gets mentioned among the plethora of tight ends on the current roster. Donnell is fighting for a roster spot on a team that already has Brandon Myers, Bear Pascoe and Adrien Robinson. In terms of a return to the practice squad he is competing with Chase Clement, who got some attention from the coaching staff earlier in the offseason, and Jamie Childers, who flasted some pass-catching acumen during mini-camp.

Giants Roster Breakdown #31: Terrence Frederick

Quote
Terrence Frederick played two games for the Giants at the end of the 2012 season. Can he keep his roster spot this time around?

Let's continue our look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp by focusing on one of the players competing for a job as a reserve cornerback -- Terrence Frederick.

2012 Season In Review

Frederick was a seventh-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, but was released at the end of the preseason. The Giants signed him to their active roster on Dec. 26 and he appeared in the final two games of the season, making two tackles.

2013 Outlook

Frederick is in the mix for one of the reserve cornerback slots. He is a 5-foot-10, 187-pound 23-year-old who is better in zone than man-to-man per NFL.com and has extensive experience playing in the slot. The health of Terrell Thomas and the play of others in the mix at corner like UDFA Charles James and Laron Scott, who spent last season with the Giants on the practice squad, could impact Frederick's future.

Giants Roster Breakdown #32: Stephen Goodin

Quote
Offensive guard Stephen Goodin spent part of the 2012 season on the Giants practice squad.

Next up in our look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp at the Timex Performance Center is offensive guard Stephen Goodin, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound player who spent part of last season on the team's practice squad.

2012 Season In Review

The 24-year-old from Nebraska-Kearney was on and off the practice squad a season ago.

2013 Outlook

The Giants liked Goodin enough to sign him to a reserve/futures contract.Goodin, though, will be fortunate to find his way back to the practice. The fact that the Giants drafted Eric Herman in the seventh round, the return of 2012 fourth-round pick Brandon Mosley and the fact that 2012 sixth-round pick Matt McCants has been working at center might all be bad signs for Goodin. He seems like a player who might get practice squad consideration, but that might depend on injuries and the play of others.

Giants Roster Breakdown #33: Johnathan Hankins

Quote
The New York Giants are intent on improving their run defense in 2013, and selecting Johnathan Hankins in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft was part of that effort.

As we continue to roll through our player-by-player look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp we have arrived at one of the players the organization will be a bright new star on a hopefully much-improved defense. That would be Johnathan Hankins, the massive 6-foot-3, 320-pound defensive tackle selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

2012 Season In Review

Hankins registered 55 tackles (four for loss) and one sack in 12 games for the Ohio State Buckeyes, who went 12-0. Hankins earned first-team All Big 10 honors. He had 67 tackles (11 for loss) and three sacks in 2011.

2013 Outlook

The Giants, intent on improving a sub-par run defense, selected Hankins 49th overall. Linval Joseph and Cullen Jenkins are expected to start, and Jenkins will likely be part of the group of defensive tackles rotating behind them as the Giants try to toughen the middle of their defense.

Giants Roster Breakdown #34: Kevin Hardy

Quote
Kevin Hardy is competing for one of the wide receiver spots with the Giants.

We continue our look at the 90-man roster the New York Giants will bring to training camp by looking at wide receiver Kevin Hardy.

2012 Season In Review

Hardy did not play anywhere I can find in 2012. He played four seasons at Citadel, the last being in 2011.

2013 Outlook

The Giants signed the 6-foot, 186-pound rookie to a reserve/futures contract in January. Hardy played four years at Citadel as a running back and wide receiver, with minimal impact. He ran nine times for 128 yards and caught 19 passes in his four seasons. Hardy has been timed at 4.35 in the 40-yard dash, and that speed is likely what is getting him an opportunity. Perhaps he has a chance to stick with the practice squad.
