I'm high on Walford. I think he's probably our best TE, but he's been having trouble staying on the field the past few weeks. That hamstring injury seems to be giving him some trouble. He'll probably start the season as the #2 TE but gradually become #1 as the season goes on. Dude is a physical specimen and makes tough catches

No he is. That's why I said Clive will probably start as the #2, behind him. Though I do believe Walford has the better skills to be a complete TE in this league.

Yeah it's definitely bogus. Even more bogus that it took Ray guy nearly 30 years to get into the hall of fame.
It's an interesting scenario for them. I mean, Kenny does have more INT's than TD's, which isn't very good lol.
It's definitely not a good look for them to pick him right at this time, but to be fair, this process starts at the beginning of the calendar year. So for him to be named a finalist means he made it through rounds of cuts long before he died. Really just unfortunate timing.

All this said, really hope the snake gets in! He's one of a kind and was the best QB of the 70's.

Yeah I didnt realize that he made it past a round or two of voting before he passed but just for purely saving face and being a little tactful maybe slide him another 2 years I guess. Just makes it look shitty all around.

Even if he does get in and that's said about him in the weeks/months following, who cares? It's another Raiders legend in the Hall of Fame.
