hey locked everyone up for 3 years on contract. Now's there chance to do the deep runs. they don't have the time to TRY to find someone else and show them the system and hope they work out.


Can they win games without Kam, absolutely. If they trade, cut, or do nothing will they go to the playoffs, no. Take his play and talent out of the equation if you don't help him get on the field you are basically telling your team that if you work your ass off it doesn't mean anything to us just play as much as you think you deserve because we don't pay you if you outplay your contract.
Then look at how close the best players on the team are, Thomas, Sherman, Wagner, KJ, Thomas. What are you telling those guys? Your ripping the heart and the leader away from the defense because of contract disputes. Demoralizing completely, plus the chemistry isn't there. They work well together it's just as equally about the chemistry as it is there individual talents.

Has he really outplayed his contract? Seems like he's paid fairly to me...essentially the #2 SS and #1 deserved it at the time. If they give in, they're telling the players to hold out, because they'll bend.

It comes down to what he's asking for if it's guarantees then I think they make them, there willing to throw away money on a WR like percy harvin that is notorious for injury but back burner the team leader that isn't a good message to send. Kam is just as important as anyone on that defense and not just because of his talent but his drive and leadership.

I think you have to reward his consistency with guarantees. Same reason I hated them getting rid of Tony McDaniel, I understand the move but that's what I mean is that it is a business of making money.

Kam Chancellor has leverage all day because of the fact he is irreplaceable. It opens pandoras box but at the same time you do nothing and he truly sits out the whole season that is 1 year they paid 100+ million to do nothing.

He's only playing because of T. Jax, might make practice squad but I don't see him staying on the roster.
