what ya'll think MJD going to put up next year?
im a huge believer in curse of 370 + rookie qb means hes not going to lose much workload

We have a good back up RB in Rashad Jennings. He hurt his knee in the pre season and didn't play at all the rest of the season. They said he could of played around mid season, but they wanted him 100% healthy for this up coming season. He should help take a decent chunk of the load away from MJD. Although it's hard not to give MJD his 15-25ish carries/touches a game.

They have talked about wanting to have a nice balance of run and pass. It's hard to say what MJD will do, but if they can develop a legit passing game, it can only help MJD. Dude has put up some beast numbers in his career, all while having the box stacked to the limit.

Jaguars GM Gene Smith plans to "add weapons" at wide receiver through free agency as well as the draft.
"There will be some receivers on the open market who can help our situation," said Smith. If he slips to No. 7 in the draft, Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon is a no-brainer for a franchise bereft of playmaking receivers since the days of Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell. Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union suggests Arkansas' Joe Adams and Appalachian State's Brian Quick as possibilities later in the draft.

The 2012 NFL free agency period begins in just a few weeks, so the rumblings of who teams are interested will begin to come to light. One of the positions the Jacksonville Jaguars will consider bolstering in either free agency or the NFL Draft will be the cornerback position. According to the Detroit Free Press, the Jaguars are one of many teams who will be in the running for the services of free agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan.

The Lions -- along with St. Louis, Dallas, Oakland, San Francisco, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Jacksonville -- could make a play for Finnegan, according to the source.

Finnegan would command a contract similar to the five-year, $48.75-million contract Johnathan Joseph signed last year with Houston. Finnegan likely would seek a deal for at least $10 million per year for five or six years, according to the source.

Hell fucking no at that price. No way he's worth that kind of money. He aint no JJ

"SI's Tony Pauline, who actually predicted the Jaguars taking Tyson Alualu 10th in 2010, says that several teams actually have Kendall Wright as their No. 1 receiver ahead of Justin Blackmon. The Jaguars could easily be one of those teams, given how much they value character. They need a receiver, and if they reached for Wright here at No. 7, it wouldn't be the first time they did something shocking."

The Wright pick makes perfect sense and a pick that high on Defense isn't going to help Gabbert on Offense. Unless Claiborne dropped to #7, then i'm all for that.

There's no guarantee we're going to get a top flight WR via FA. Who's even going to for sure hit the market? Stevie Johnson might not, Bowe might not, V Jackson might, Colston might but I doubt it. And even when whoever does hit the market, there's no guarantee we can get them.

We also completely lack any game breaking speed at WR. Wright has exactly that and he isn't afraid to go across the middle. He's also bigger and stronger then DeSean Jackson.

We will probably end up with a 2nd tier WR like Meachem or maybe Garcon in FA. Somebody like that to go along with Wright and then say, Brian Quick maybe?

I can realistically see the front end of our draft going something like this....

1st - Wright
2nd - DE Vinny Curry
3rd - WR Brian Quick
4th - CB. Somebody out of these guys listed below...

Ryan Steed - Furman
Josh Norman - Coastal Carolina
Dwight Bentley - Louisiana-Lafayette
Josh Robinson - Central Florida
Casey Hayward - Vanderbilt

He'd be our big target at WR. While Wright would be our deep threat. Toss in a 2nd tier WR along with Thomas, Shorts and somebody else(insert West, Dillard, Price, etc name here). Toss in Marcedes Lewis at TE and we would/should then at the very least, have a serviceable Receiving core.

Alshon is now apparently down to around 217-220

There are rumors that Jeffery's agent spread the rumor that he was close to 250 so he could shock people at the combine
