Kubiak was just too conservative. I think he over-coached himself but thankfully it didn't cost the team a win. He had Foster in there more than Tate because of the short-passing game. He thought it would be more beneficial to T.J. Yates but it ended up being a fast-played game with a lot of punts. Foster wasn't able to break many big plays, except for the one 40-plus yard run.
Just an ugly win and it was embarrassing to be out-scored 3-0 in the second half but a win is still a win. They better play much better on Sunday because that type of lackluster offensive effort yesterday isn't going to get it done against the Falcons. A full week of practice is huge for this team. Yates will have more time to get a gameplan together. All he did before was hold a clipboard.
