I've seen other Packer forums discussing cuts, and some have mentioned Tramon Williams as an unlikely cut, but one that might make sense. He's old and gets hurt a lot, we have great depth at the position, and we could use that money better elsewhere. Thoughts? I mean it personally seems kind of ridiculous to me, but I don't consider myself qualified to have a legitimate opinion on the matter. I know nothing of the $ side of things and don't know how much depth is enough depth really.

I don't know. It would have made more sense from the cap perspective before Rodgers and Matthews extended. I know Raji is on a contract year, but I think they said they were going to wait on him. I still believe Tramon can get back to the top 10 corner he was back in 2010. I'm confident in Hayward given what we've seen of him, but I don't think whoever ends up third on the depth chart behind those two is worth the drop off.

Hmmm, if I were any other team in the league, I'd be pretty satisfied to have Hayward, Shields, and House back there. But even though he's regressed some, I still don't trust anyone but Tramon to somewhat contain Calvin or Marshall.

after the Seattle-Green Bay MNF debacle, an ESPN reporter asked Golden Tate if he pushed off on Sam Shields.... and he vehemently denied it by saying he didn't know what the reporter was talking about

ORLY?

he later admits to it completely
