says OLB, but looks like he is a DE. There is a chance Flower is a Bust. I hope not, but will see.
OLB and DE are loose terms, depending on whatever defensive schemes a team runs. Our LEO position is basically a pass rushing OLB in a 3-4 front, but he lines up with his hand in the dirt on our 4 man DL, as a DE. Our whole scheme (just like the Seahawks) is based on getting constant pressure from just a 4 man rush.
Our LEO DE always lines up on the weakside of the Offensive Line. He might be at the RDE spot one play and he might then line up at the LDE on the next play. The whole point of the LEO DE is to get a 1 on 1 match up vs the OT, every snap.
There's a chance every player is a bust, but I'm not worried about Fowler busting. I think he'll be a productive player in the NFL. He might not ever lead the league in sacks (one can hope though), but I think he'll have a good career in the NFL. He played pretty much every position on the front 7 at Florida and that can only help him.
He was 263 when we drafted him and he's down to 255 right now, while adding more muscle to his frame. He was only 20 years old when we drafted him. His body hasn't even physically matured yet, much like a lot of our young talent on this team.
