Ryan Mallett has looked great in every practice with the Texana so far - he's already picked up Bill O'Brien's offense in only a few days - and was very accurate with every throw. His arm strength is the best on the team. He's already been elevated to second string ahead of rookie Tom Savage. It probably won't be long until he becomes the starting quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start against the Redskins on Sunday but he better play well.
"I’m glad I’m not a rookie doing this, because that would be tough," Mallett said. "Being my fourth year I kind of understand the ins and outs of the league, how it works, so it’s definitely helped me in that aspect."
"I knew what he expected out of his team," Mallett said of O'Brien. "He wants to be good, he wants to be great, so that’s what we’re trying to do. That’s why we go to work every day and pay attention to details and try to get better as a team."
Bill O'Brien says that Ryan Mallett has The “It” Factor.
