You can take one unopened bottled water along with a see-through bag that will be checked (clear bag policy). Pretty much those small plastic or vinyl bags they give out. I got one in the mail two days ago with a Houston Texans logo on it. Most fans will carry their smartphones in hand. But you should be able to take any basic essentials with you.

Andre Johnson reports to Texans training camp

"Everybody was excited to see me. I was just as excited to see them as they were to see me," Johnson said. "It was the first time I've been away from my team as long as I have." Under new coach Bill O'Brien, Ryan Fitzpatrick will open as the new Texans' new quarterback. The 10th-year pro was signed as a free agent after making nine starts last season with the Tennessee Titans. He previously was the starter in Buffalo.

Houston veterans welcomed Johnson.

"It's always good to have your whole team here," said defensive end J.J. Watt. "… It's good to have him back. … He's a great football player.''

Offensive tackle Duane Brown said Johnson got more than just a warm reception.

"He got a standing ovation, so we're very excited to have him back," said Brown. " … He's been my teammate my whole time here. … (There's a) good vibe in the building."

Ryan, how is Clowney doing?

He's coming off the groin (sports hernia) surgery and was just taking part in light drills today.
The Texans want Jadeveon Clowney to play in the preseason opener on August 9 at Arizona.
We'll know where he's at once we see him play in the preseason. He has a lot to learn playing OLB.

Keep your fingers crossed for the health of Arian Foster and Andre Brown. I don't know if there's a better 1-2 punch at running back in the league, in terms of overall talent and fragileness. I'm not sure if their bodies are made of glass but it sure seems like it.

A huge part of the Texans' success in 2014 is going to be how well they can run the football. I'm not too concerned about the defense or even Ryan Fitzpatrick passing the ball. If Arian Foster and Andre Brown go down, as expected, it's going to be tough to fill in active bodies to run the ball.

Once you start to rely on your third, fourth and fifth options at running back that is when you know another 2-14 season is on the way.
