no corner...

We've drafted plenty these past few years. Corners take a few years to develop. I'd like to see how some of these young guys pan out with the new coaches before we spend even more picks on corners.

Now we just needs safeties and corners. Other than that what else is missing.

I have hopes tyrel Austin or whatever can help develope our current/rookie corners like he did in Baltimore

Safety should be our biggest priority. Maybe a corner in a round or two.

I'm optimistic about Slay. But if he doesn't pan out, we're kinda fucked. Mathis was actually really solid last year. Houston blows, and may not even play this year. Bentley is a mediocre slot corner.

I really wanted Stanley Jean-Baptiste. I hope we can take a late round flier on Aaron Colvin/Bashaud Breeland/Keith McGill/Pierre Desir etc. We just need to get lucky with one of them

hopefully slay will step up. rashean mathis did actually pretty decent, but he's aging fast. i still think they should have taken dennard in the 1st and maybe got jace amaro in the 2nd

Corners are one of the highest risk positions you can draft. And it usually takes them more than one year to really contribute. Not to mention drafting any CB at 10 would have been over paying.

This. Some people just don't get it. Give the young guys some time to prove themselves before you spend even more draft picks on CB's.

mathis got a 1 year deal and he's 33. probably his last season in detroit. chris houston...meh. darius slay was a 2nd rounder who should be getting better (we'll see). and bill bentley...meh...was a 3rd.

imagine if the lions had a chance to get gilbert this year. kids gonna be good.
