SF giants (they used to be NY giants. :P)
for NHL, I like a lot of teams, I usually just root who I want to win such as bruins, islanders, ducks, wings. but no personal preference.
NBA I don't follow them enough but I like Lakers and wizards (they was awesome while ago)

Justin Tuck Leaves Note for Damontre Moore: “Get Ready to Work”

Quote
Coming out of Texas A&M, one of the biggest criticisms facing defensive end Damontre Moore, who the New York Giants selected in the third-round of the 2013 NFL Draft, was that he didn't practice as hard as he played. It's something head coach Tom Coughlin was quick to address, and something Moore is well aware of and ready to change.

“I think he meant exactly what he said: That wasn’t one of my strong fortes,” Moore said on Friday. “But I’m here to work and I’m trying to make my weakness my strong point."

Whether he wants to or not, and would it appear as if he does, Moore better be prepared to work tirelessly with the Giants. It's a staple of any Coughlin-coached team, and something that was made abundantly clear to the rookie when he arrived at his locker for the first time to find a note from defensive captain Justin Tuck. It read: “I hope you are ready to work.”

“I was excited that he took time out of his busy schedule to take the time to write me a personal message,” Moore said. “At the same time, I know it’s time to get to work so I’m ready to come in and listen to him.”

That rude awakening was compounded when the rookie met quarterback Eli Manning on Friday, who shared similar sentiments.

"He just said work hard," Moore said of his conversation with Manning. "He said if we need anything that he’ll be here for us. We’re rookies. He wanted to make sure you stay on your toes and you follow the veterans."

So far, Moore has said all the right things. In fact, one of his first statements as a member of the Giants was that he just wanted to keep his "mouth shut and mind open" so that he could soak up as much knowledge and information as possible.

If he's able to do that, and begins practicing as hard as he plays, he can become a very dangerous asset for defensive coordinator Perry Fewell & Co.

This kid is going to be a monster in a few years... no pun intended

Josh Cribbs will sign with either Giants, Lions, Jets or Raiders

His potential next destination has been limited to four suitors, barring an unexpected development. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cribbs, an eight-year veteran, will sign with the Raiders, Giants, Jets, or Lions.

More on Curry's role for Giants
May, 13, 2013
By Tim Kavanagh | ESPN.com

After a visit with the New York Giants, LB Aaron Curry hung around for the weekend of the team's rookie minicamp and signed a deal with the club as of Friday night. For Curry, it's a chance to deliver on some of the promise that led him to be the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 draft; for the Giants, it's a low-risk move that could turn out to be high-reward.

For all the perceived need for help at the LB position, the Giants didn't draft an LB last month. As it stands now, they'll have Curry, Jacquian Williams, Dan Connor, Keith Rivers, Mark Herzlich and Spencer Paysinger in the mix. Mathias Kiwanuka figures to play more DE with Osi Umenyiora gone, but that's not set in stone. As part of the "Red Flags" series, Sean McCormick of Football Outsiders broke down the biggest remaining weakness for the four NFC East clubs, and he identified linebacker as that weakness for the Giants:

Sean McCormick
Red Flags: NFC East
"While this was not a particularly rich draft class, it was still surprising to see all seven rounds go by without New York using even a single selection on a linebacker. Now upgrades will have to come through free agency. The Giants jump-started the process by agreeing to terms with Aaron Curry on a one-year deal. Curry, another injury-plagued draft disappointment in the Keith Rivers mold, will compete with Rivers and Mark Herzlich for snaps at strongside linebacker. It's a low-risk move that will look great if it pays off, but it shouldn't keep Reese from continuing to explore the market. The biggest name available is Brian Urlacher, who has indicated a willingness to take a major pay cut to play for a contender, and who may have enough in the tank to provide a mild upgrade over Connor. One player who is almost certainly out of the mix is Michael Boley, whose legal problems will likely land him a suspension and could signal the end of his career."
