Don't forget ILB. In terms of need (if we were playing to win NOW), it would be DB > ILB > DE, but we're building, so I'd rather see the reverse. Unfortunately, I don't know how much DE talent is left beyond Gregory for our pick, so ILB would probably be my go-to. Still, great DB talent out there that I'd also love to have on the team. We're a little crowded at RB so I think I'd go a different direction and just switch our offense to a West Coast style.

will keep Carr confident. boosting cooper production boosting rb production. There's still some fa talent that can be picked up for defense and imo the defense players that are left aren't much different from the ones getting pushed in to round 3.

Did some reading this morning...

Randy Gregory missed 4 flights to visit with teams, with the Raiders being one of them. The Raiders then cancelled all scheduled contact with Gregory. Doesn't look like we'll be drafting him.
Scouts project UCLA LB Eric Kendricks to play primarily as the weak side linebacker (will). We already have 2 smaller LB's that both have experience at will in sio and khalil. Doesn't fit much need there.

Preston Smith seems to only have value as an edge rounding pass rusher. Can't bull rush, has no interior rush moves. Good in contain run defense, but can be lazy and jogs in pursuit.
Projects to be more of a 3-4 outside hybrid than a 4-3 DE... we run a 4-3, as we all know.

Really think Landon Collins should be the pick

offers very little as a pass rusher, and is primarily run stopping DE. We need the pass rush threat.
