The happiest player on the Texans right now has to be J.J. Watt. With Jadeveon Clowney and Louis Nix he's not going to have to worry about getting beat up as much as he was last season. And he still produced 10.5 sacks despite seeing constant double blockers.
That offensive tackle from the Colts, Gosder Cherilus, who upper cut and punched Watt in the ribs last season (cheap shot after a play) in that late season game at Indianapolis is going to pay this year. I want to see how that stiff Cherilus handles our defense now.
This video always cracks me up because that sums up our 2-14 season in 2013.
That's what happens when you are the only great player on a defense. Now add Cushing coming back healthy, Clowney and Nix. That's not going to happen anymore. That's three really talented players at key positions. If Louis Nix can eat up two blockers, I don't think opposing offenses will try to use two blockers on J.J. Watt as often. You can't use four blockers on two D-Lineman in a 3-4 defense. The four linebackers would have a field day. Jadeveon Clowney is going to cause some havoc off the edge at outside linebacker.
